How does Mediation Work?

Mediation is the Best Way To Go!

As a busy Family Law Divorce/Child Custody attorney, I also offer Mediation Services.

  • Unlike waiting up to 2 years to have a judge finalize a divorce or custody case, a Mediation can be scheduled quickly and should the parties reach full agreements, the Mediator can prepare not only the required written agreement for the parties to sign, but also prepare essential court pleadings and other documents to schedule your uncontested case.
  • Remember this, Uncontested Family Law Cases go to the front of the line and are usually heard by the judge via zoom, in just a fraction of the time it would usually take if each party had attorneys.
  • Mediation is strictly voluntary and is private and confidential, while a court proceeding is not. A Mediator acts as the “Neutral” and assists the parties in addressing the issues and how to achieve a successful agreement.
  • At a typical divorce Mediation, you and your partner will need to commit yourselves to compromising and listening to the suggestions of the Mediator, so you both can reach a full agreement.

Remember, an experienced Mediator will be your best opportunity to get your case completed quickly!  Be sure to contact us today!
