The Law Offices of Gordon N. Shayne is located in Downtown Colorado Springs, Colorado, at 2 North Cascade Ave. Suite 310. (Click here for map) Our office has a combined experience of over 30 years fighting for the rights of its clients. Our office is highly energetic and well known among its colleagues and the judges as the lawyers appear in the El Paso, Teller and Douglas County courts on a regular basis.
Our clients live and work in a wide variety of locations across the front range and throughout the Colorado Springs area. Colorado Springs is the second most populated city in the State of Colorado, and is a diverse community situated in El Paso County, that is also known as the “Pikes Peak region.” There are several United States Military installations in the area: United States Army Post at Fort Carson, United States AirForce Academy, Peterson Air Force Base and Schriever Air Force Base. A large segment of our clientele are active and retired military members, spouses, former spouses and dependents. There are many clients who are also serving their country while with the National Guard. Because of the large presence of men and woman in the various branches of military service, we make special accommodations for those clients in our fee structures.
The United States Air Force Academy is located in the northern half of El Paso County and is the largest man made tourist attraction in the area. The community takes great pride in having the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs and the contributions that the Air Force Academy and its students, faculty, alumni and staff, make.
The City of Colorado Springs sits in the magnificent shadow of Pikes Peak, which is 14,110 feet above sea level. Pikes Peak is the leading natural tourist attraction in the area and offers a multitude of recreational activities and sights throughout the park. While the vast majority of clients are from the Pikes Peak region, our office represents clients in other areas as well, such as: Teller, Park, Douglas, Arapaho, Pueblo, Adams and Denver counties.

Gordon N. Gordon N. Shayne has been an attorney for over 32 years and is licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado and the State of Florida. He is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, as well as the Colorado Bar Association Family Law Section, Florida Bar Association, American Bar Association, Family Law Section, and El Paso County Bar Association. He is also admitted to practice as a member of the Trial Bar for the United States Southern District of Florida, and United States District Court, Colorado, and United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Gordon began his career as a public servant/prosecutor, first in Miami-Dade County and later, in Broward County (Fort Lauderdale, Florida), As an Assistant State Attorney, Gordon prosecuted a vast array of criminal defendants, with crimes ranging from Homicides, Sexual Batteries and Assault, to Misdemeanors and DUI’s. After leaving government service, Gordon began to specialize in Family Law, Domestic Relations and Divorce cases. Throughout his career, he has been responsible for hundreds of jury and non-jury cases, and attended a wide range of hearings, trials, mediations, arbitrations and administrative proceedings.
For Clients who are facing the severe legal challenges of a divorce or other family law dispute, Gordon can put his vast knowledge of the Colorado Revised Statutes and years of trial experience, to work for the benefit of his clients. Each client, whether it’s a contested or uncontested case, will receive a commitment to specialized attention.
